14th Half Marathon Kalambaka-Trikala Thanasis Stamopoulos & 5 km race
Trikala Runners Association announces the 14th Thanasis Stamopoulos Kalambaka-Trikala Road Half Marathon and the 5 km race for Sunday, March 12, 2023.
Starting point: Kalambakas Central Square
End point: Central square of Trikala
Route length: 21,097m.
ROUTE: The route is on asphalt with a slight downhill slope.
Each athlete participates at his own risk.
Athletes under the age of 18 participate under the responsibility of their parents.
(An affidavit must be filed).
In addition to the 21.1km race in the center of the city of Trikala, a 5km race and a 1000m race for children will be held at the same time.

One of the fastest in Europe
Every March, Trikala Running Club, organizes the Road Race 21K Challenge Kalampaka-Trikala, Thanassis Stamopoulos. The route starts from the town of Kalampaka, which is situated at the foot of fabulous Meteora, which are monument of World Natural Heritage by UNESCO and finishes in the central square of Trikala city.
The nature of the route, with approximately 100 total downward slope throughout its length, ranks as one of the fastest in Europe, with performance record 1:05:41.
